Stephen P. Hosterman

In loving memory of Stephen P. Hosterman, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Stephen age 72 of Lexington, passed away on November 7, 2023 at home with his family by his side. He was born on April 15, 1951 in Lexington to the late William and Eleanor O'Connor. He married Linda M. Petersen on September 19, 1970, and they were married for 53 wonderful years.
His kindness and genuine nature was unparalleled, making him a one-of-a-kind individual. Stephen was a wonderful man who exemplified unwavering faith and lived as a true son of God, carrying his beliefs with grace and strength. No matter the circumstance, Steve's gratitude knew no bounds. He made sure that every doctor, nurse and caregiver who entered his life received a heartfelt thank you, a simple yet profound act that revealed the depth of his character. Stephen enjoyed golfing, working on antique cars and enjoyed his 1952 Chris-Craft boat. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, attending all of their activities and walking alongside them through their endeavors.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, children; Stacy (Michael) Hosterman-Hamann and Jerry Hosterman, grandchildren; Jeralin Hamann, Brendan Hamann, Drew Hosterman and Gwendalin Hosterman, his siblings; Randy (Cathy) O'Connor, James (Kim) O'Connor, Donald O'Connor, Debbie (Randy) Swecker and Sarah (Fred) Kading, along with many nieces and nephews.
Stephen was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Hosterman.
As we remember Steve, let us be reminded of his enduring legacy. He was not just an example; he was a friend, a confidant, and a source of inspiration that touched the lives of everyone he met. His memory will forever be a shining light, guiding us to be better, kinder, and more appreciative in every moment.
