Stephen Lemley

Stephen Lemley, 60 years old of Toledo, Ohio passed away surrounded by family on January 26, 2024. Stephen was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 12, 1963, to Charles (Chuck) and Jeanette Lemley.
Stephen graduated from Bowsher High School in 1981. He also went to trade school where he graduated with an electrical certification. Upon entering the military, he joined the United States Marine Corps where he served for 8 years. Within his term, Stephen primary specialty was a Food Service Specialist. He then went on to complete his military education in Basic Baker Course and Bakers Noncommissioned Officers Course. He participated in Operation Desert Shield/Storm. Stephen earned the Rifle Badge (Sharpshooter), National Defense Service Medal, Letter of Appreciation (4th Award), Certificate of Commendation (2d Award), Humanitarian Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Kuwait Liberation Medal.
Stephen Lemley has 4 children, Steven Lamar Lemley 38 (Candice M. Lemley 36); Gregory Anthony Douglas 33; Stacey Marie Lemely 30; and Charleigh Samantha Lemley 28.
Stephen loved and enjoyed being with family and friends which came with lots of laughter, music, dancing, dominoes (Bones), and spades. He was one who would make an effort to call and check in on you no matter what. That was his nature. You would always see him alongside his mother (Jeanette) at every function or family gathering. Stephen was a man of many trades including cooking, landscaping, and all around great with his hands.
Stephen was preceded in death by his great grandparents Joe and Laura Lemley; his grandfather James Issac Turner, his grandmother Louise Jackson Turner; his grandmother Aldean Lemley; his father Charles (Chuck) Samuel Lemley.
Stephen was survived by his mother (Jeanette Lemley), his four children, three grandchildren (Ce'Marei Sharai Lemley-Thompson (6); Dollianna D. Lashay Douglas (4); Savannah Nicole Lemley (3 Months), and a host of relatives he truly appreciated and loved.
Memorial services will be at The House of Day Funeral Home. 2550 Nebraska Ave. Toledo, Ohio 43607. Thursday, February 8, 2024. Visitation: 10:00 a.m. Service: 11:00 a.m.
