Stephen J. "Steve" Marrone peacefully passed away in his sleep on January 21, 2025, he was the adoring son to the late Joseph (1979) and Elizabeth (2024) and the charming brother to Joseph, Paul (Maria) & Elizabeth Marrone, he was the dearest friend to many. Steve was a constant spark of energy and adventure. At a young age, Stephen's great Uncle Frank took him fishing on Lake Lindquist, near Pembine, WI. And there he began a lifelong passion of bait and tackle, initially instilled by earlier family vacations to Northern Wisconsin. Steve graduated from Downers Grove North High School in 1991. He went on to obtain his Associate Degree in Applied Science from Triton College.
With his degree, Steve began a union auto mechanic career. He was also a Ft. Myers, Florida resident for many years, enjoying sun, beaches, and living on an inner-coastal channel. He was thrilled to take friends out fishing on his bay boat (he also caught sharks!). Consistent with his skills, ambition and degree, Steve easily obtained employment including onsite living quarters at a resort on Captiva. He surely enjoyed good times and friends.
