Stephen Phillip Perdue, age 78, of Logansport, passed away Thursday August 14, 2025, in his residence.
Born August 2, 1947, in Rochester, IN to the late Henry Owen & Glenna G. (Altice) Perdue. ON April 28, 1980, in Logansport he married Hazel Jane Powell who preceded him in death on January 28, 2020.
Stephen retired from Tyson Foods as a maintenance man. He was a member of Rochester Eagles Lodge, enjoyed watching Cubs baseball, Bears football and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters, Tracey (Shane) Layer, Winamac, IN; Wendy (Lonny) Mongosa, Denver, IN; two sons, Jason R. Perdue, Logansport, IN; David (Angela) Hawkins, Knoxville, TN; two sisters, Linda Mollencupp, North Manchester, IN; Glenda (Jerry) Flory, Tippecanoe, IN; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday August 19, 2025, in the Gundrum Funeral Home. A private burial will take place at a later date in the Rochester I.O.O. F Cemetery in Rochester, IN.
A time of visitation will be held from 11:00 am until time of services on Tuesday at the Gundrum Funeral Home.
