Known to some as `Gunny` he served as a proud Marine, provided for and raised a family of six, went on to marry and love a life he built with wife, Lynn, before retiring from Costco nine years ago. Prior to Salem, years were spent in Hubbard and Woodburn. Born in Tulare, CA he was raised by parents. They along with four brothers and one sister traveled up and down the west coast as self proclaimed `fruit tramps, living wherever the harvest was`.
He lived a life that had him seeing the country/world. Be that overseas, as a long haul truck driver, pallet business owner, as quickly as he could down a quarter mile, enjoying time bbq`ing for his family, or playing with the dogs.
Steve was a funny man, a just man, a difficult man, a decent man, but mostly a loved man.
No services to be held. A private man who passed in a quiet and calm time who`d like to be remembered that way.
