Stephen E. Reidford

Stephen E. Reidford, 72, of rural Evansville, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at the Heart-to-Heart Hospice House.
Steve was born on June 22, 1951 in Evansville to the late Edward and Rita (Spindler) Reidford. He worked for Mead Johnson for over 30 years prior to retiring. He was an active member of St. Philip Catholic Church, where he served on the parish mowing crew. Steve enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren; coaching girls' basketball and softball at Corpus Christi and St. Philip, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Indiana University basketball. Steve was an avid gardener and landscaper; loved to paint and would help anyone in need if he could. He was also a volunteer with the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.
Surviving Steve are his wife of 50 years, Janet (Muensterman) Reidford; daughters, Kelli (Jay) Casey and Stefani (Jason) Hudnall; son, Brett Stephen Reidford; sisters, Cynthia (Urban) Schmitt, Sandra Cain, and Leesa Kuhn; brothers, Rick (Janet) Reidford, Terry (Tammy) Reidford, Jon (Natalie) Reidford and Jason Reidford and grandchildren, Wilson Hudnall and Zooey Casey. Steve is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bridget Reidford, Cindy Muensterman, Steve and Becky Muensterman, Mark and Michelle Muensterman and Bob and Pam Muensterman.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Reidford; by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerome and Marcella (Luigs) Muensterman; by a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tom and JoAnn (Goedde) Muensterman and brother-in-law, Jerry Muensterman.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 14, 2024 at St. Philip Catholic Church, Rev. Ryan Hilderbrand officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Philip Church Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street or from 9:30 AM until service time on Friday at St. Philip Catholic Church, 3500 St. Philip Road S, Mt. Vernon, IN 47620.
Steve's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Heart-to-Heart Hospice for all of their kind and compassionate care in his last days.
