Stephen Langdon Sizemore age 76, was born on March 19, 1948 in Clay County, Kentucky and departed this life at his home in Barbourville, Kentucky on November 22, 2024 after a long and hard- fought battle with cancer.
Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Chester Sizemore, infant son, Chester Jake ( CJ) Sizemore and brother, Clyde Sizemore.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Rosetta Collett Sizemore, three loving children: Stephanie Sizemore Turner (Byron), Stephen Paul Sizemore (Shanna) and Timothy Sizemore (Sara), six grandchildren who were his pride and joy and to whom he was affectionately known as Gran: Kira Sizemore, Kai Sizemore, Kimber Sizemore, Miles Langdon Turner, Jake Sizemore and Emmy Rose Sizemore.
He is also survived by his cherished mother, Edith Langdon Sizemore, caring sister, Lena Sizemore Asher Reed, and a host of other family and friends.
Stephen was saved August 6, 1973 and was a faithful member of Rockhouse Baptist Church for many years. He loved his church family and always proclaimed his gratitude for his salvation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
Along with going to church, Stephen enjoyed spending time with his family, raising cattle and porch sitting with a good cup of coffee.
The funeral service to commemorate and celebrate the life of Stephen Sizemore will be held at 1pm Tuesday, November 26, 2024 in the chapel of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Wolfe officiating and reading of the obituary by Kyle Wolfe.
Interment will follow the services at the Stephen Sizemore Cemetery at Red Bird.
Friends and family may gather for visitation from 11:30am until the service hour at 1pm.
The family wishes to extend their appreciation to his friend, Justin Causey.
Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home
