Funeral service for Mr. Steve A. "Sparky" Anderson, 63, of Piedmont, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel with Rev. David Cox officiating the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service in Youngs Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Anderson entered his Heavenly home on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. He is preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Anderson.
Left to cherish the memory of Mr. Anderson are his sons; Nathan Anderson, Kyle Anderson (Emily), grandchildren; Abbie Alford, Emma Kate Anderson, Haley Blair, parents, Harold and Evelyn Anderson, sister, Tammy Driskill (Joe), brothers; Gary Anderson (Tina), Eric Anderson (Sharon), Ernie Anderson (Victoria), and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Anderson, Zack Anderson, Reece Anderson, Colton Anderson, Dane Driskill, and Joseph Driskill.
Mr. Anderson was a member of Well Springs Church of God. He graduated from Hokes Bluff High School class of 1978. He played football during high school and excelled very well as a player. Mr. Anderson owned and operated Anderson Plastering from 1986 until his retirement in 2018.
Mr. Anderson was known for his work through out the community, and never turned down any one that needed his help even if they could not pay for his services.
