Steve Jerry Earle, 88, of Kings Mountain, passed away at Atrium Health on October 25, 2024. He was born on August 28, 1936, in Gaston County, to the late Steve Anderson Earle and Rossie Linda Crook Earle.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Angie Earle; sister, Brenda Earle Gregory.
Jerry served in the US Military from June 7, 1955, to October 31, 1985, in the Air Force, and the National Guard where he received many awards. He was avid in archery where he won over 16 blue ribbon awards. He loved serving his country. He adored his kids and grandkids. Jerry lived on Moss Lake where he fished and enjoyed being in the boat, this was happiest time of his life.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Joyce Callahan Earle; sons, Steve Earle Jr., Chris Earle (Sharon), Rusty Earle (Jaime); daughter, Bridgette Bell (Scott); grandsons, Alex Earle, Chandler Bell (Taylor), Ryder Earle; granddaughter, Jaiden Earle; great grandchildren, Cillian Earle, Vitaly Earle, Rowan Earle, Weston Bell, Grayson Bell; niece, Tammie Hamrick, nephew, Robert Fox.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
Jerry’s Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 pm with Pastor Greg Neely officiating.
Inurnment with be with the family.
Memorial may be made to Cleveland Hospice.
