It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stefan Paul Williams Sr., who left this world peacefully on May 30th, 2025, at the age of 74, surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 9, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, Stefan lived a life marked by hard work, devotion, and unwavering kindness.
Though he left high school early, his dedication to personal growth led him back to night school to earn his diploma. He pursued further education in heating and cooling, later building a career as a skilled sprinkler fitter, a testament to his strong work ethic and determination.
Steve is the cherished husband of Katherine Williams, a devoted father to Stefan Williams Jr., Aleesha (Aaron) Oleskie, and Bryan (Erica) Williams, and a loving grandfather to Aiden Oleskie, Aspen Oleskie, Sydnee Williams, and Kylee Williams.
He came from a family of six boys-Jimmy, Ron, Steve, Richard, Johnnie, and Joe. Among them, he had an especially close bond with his brother, Ron Williams, his lifelong buddy. They were golf partners, shared a love for classic cars, and stood by each other through everything. When Steve's health declined, Ron and his wife, Judy, dropped everything to come to Michigan, ensuring they could spend his final weeks together. Ron held his hand until the last moment, a testament to the deep bond they shared.
He also had a deep connection with his brother-in-law, Jim Neal, and together they formed a close-knit family alongside his wife. Before Joe passed, Steve made sure to bring him lunch every Tuesday at the nursing home, showing his unwavering care for family. He was preceded in passing by his brothers Jimmy and Joe, but the relationships he built remained a cherished part of his life.
A man of warmth and generosity, Steve was always there to lend a helping hand, whether fixing a broken appliance or simply showing up with bagels every Tuesday morning. His weekly coffee outings with friends were a cherished ritual, and his love for travel meant that he never passed up a road trip with his children and grandchildren. His presence was a constant source of comfort and joy to those who knew him, and his selfless nature left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
Steve was more than a husband, father, brother, and grandfather-he was the heart and soul of his family. His laughter, wisdom, and unwavering support will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Steve's family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road (3 blocks East of Van Dyke), Utica. Funeral Service will be at Christian Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 521 E Hamlin Road, Rochester Hills, on Thursday, June 5th at 11am.
Though he has left this world, the love and kindness he shared will continue to shine through the lives of those he touched. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.

Always the generous and hostpital neighbor sharing stories from his family and work life. Through it all.he managed to keep a.sence of humor which says such as to the kind of man n he was.
