Age 59 passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2023. Steve was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and coworker who lived his life with joy and boundless love.
Steve was a man who lived life to the fullest, a bright spark that lit every room he walked into. An enthusiastic jokester whose quick wit and love of laughter will be missed by all who knew him. He had a natural ability to make others smile. He brought warmth and humor to even the dullest of days, effortlessly turning ordinary moments into cherished memories.
His devotion to this wife Pam was the bedrock of their 36 years of loving marriage. Together, they raised three children, Kyle (Jessica), Drake (Cassi) and Kara Jo (Tristan), who were always his pride and joy. And every moment that he spent as Papa to his adoring granddaughter Alice was treasured. His legacy lives on through them and their memories of his unwavering love and support. Steve was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Jacqueline Daily and is further survived by his 10 brothers and sisters.
His path from a small town to becoming a college graduate, having a successful career, and raising a family was more than he ever thought was possible and he never took it for granted. He loved to take photos and called himself "an artiste", he was an avid sports fan, and loved to watch "movie-shows" in his self-designed man cave. Steve had a gift of giving special nicknames to the people he loved, and these will be forever cherished. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and the animated way he communicated with children was a wonder. Steve's larger-than-life personality, laughter, and endless jokes will be sorely missed, but they will echo though our lives in the stories we share and the laughter we remember. His spirit, brimming with love and pride for his family, will continue to guide and inspire us.
A memorial service will be held at HARDER FUNERAL HOME on Saturday July 22 from 1:00 PM until time of service at 4:00 PM.
