Steven Evans Obituary
Steve Elliott Evans, 70, peacefully departed this life on February 4, 2025 at his home in Byram, MS. Steve was born February 18, 1954 in Brookhaven, MS to Hilary Evans and Betty Jo Morrow (Evans).
Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Joe Ellard (Evans) of Ferriday, LA, his father, Hilary Evans of Natchez, MS and brother Ricky Lee Evans of Natchez, MS.
Steve was survived by his wife, Peggy Evans, of Byram, MS; his two sons, Chad Evans (Courtney) of Brandon, MS and Ryan Evans (Kayla) of Kernersville, NC. Steve was further survived by his 3 grandchildren, Waylon, Liam, and Amelia Evans; sister, Patricia Ann Mooney of Bolivar, MO; step father, William "Earl" Ellard of Ferriday, MA; and sister-in-law, Linda Evans of Natchez, MS.
Steve devoted his life to serving his community in the healthcare industry, having retired as a Lithotripsy Specialist for Urotech at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. Steve loved working in his yard, growing tomatoes and an assortment of exotic flowers.
Visitation honoring the life of Steve Evans will be at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS on Sunday February 9, 2025, from 2-4 pm.
