Steven Golvach Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jun. 26, 2024.
Steven Paul Golvach, 71, of Houston, TX, died peacefully after an illness on June 25, 2024, in Aldie, VA. He was born on September 8, 1952, to Paul and Helen Golvach. He graduated from Waltrip High School and Rice University, where he served as student body president and received the Hugh Scott Cameron Award for outstanding service to the service body. After receiving his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center, he practiced law in Houston for many years. He was well known for his dry wit and his love for his children, Sophia Golvach (Samuel Blazek) and John Paul Golvach, who both survive him. He was looking forward to welcoming his first grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved nephew Spencer Golvach. He also leaves behind his brother Mitchell Golvach and wife Brenda; their sons Jake and Mark (Lauren and children Blythe and Mitchell); and Daniel Golvach and his son Dylan, as well as many close cousins.
A memorial service will be held in Houston at a future date. For those who wish to make memorial donations, please consider The Westview School, which serves children with autism, of which Steven was a long-time board member.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
