Steve, or as some called him, "Hutch", was born on March 6, 1963 in Sheboygan to the late Robert and Caroline Hutchison. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1981. On August 17, 1985, Steve married Patricia M. Kees at St. John the Baptist Church in Hilbert. She preceded him in death on March 8, 2024. Steve was a gifted handyman that utilized his skills at Lang's Appliance, Riesterer & Schnell, Motor Propane, Ferrellgas, and Baileigh Industrial. He always kept his hands busy, whether it was tinkering in the garage, gardening, riding his Harley Davidson, snowmobiling, cruising in his 1996 Pontiac Trans Am ragtop, or throwing horseshoes and darts. Steve was past president of Newton Sno-Sports and Newton Lions, and was also a member of the Manitowoc Fraternal Order of Eagles #706. He also served as a volunteer firefighter for the Newton Fire Department. Steve was always available to support his family, friends, and community.
Survivors include Steve's two sons, David (Jennifer) Hutchison and Daniel Hutchison; five siblings, Debbra (George) Gersmehl, Renee (Steve) VerHaagh, Denise (Elwood) Free, John Hutchison, and Jeannie (Enrique) Centeno; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carol Thiel, Paul (Carolyn) Kees Jr., Margie Thiel, Sandy (Tim) Gossens, John (Sherry) Kees, Jeannie (Doug) Lindsley, Kathy (Wayne) Eldred, and Don Kees; also other relatives and friends. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Caroline Hutchison; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Viola Kees; wife, Patty Hutchison; and two brothers-in-law, Richard Thiel and Leon Thiel.
