Steven Maurice "Rick" Pharr

Steven Maurice Pharr, 67, of Concord, NC, entered his eternal rest unexpectedly on Saturday, September 30, 2023. Steven was born on March 15, 1956, to the late Emma Stafford Pharr Bost and the late Donald A. Pharr at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital in Concord, NC.
Steven, better known as 'Rick, Slick Rick, or TR for Tricky Rick,' was educated in the Cabarrus County School system and mastered many trades such as brick masonry, short-order cooking, and electronics in his adult years. Rick was an avid chess and card player; and prided himself on his beautiful handwriting skills, that he adorned many letters and cards to loved ones with. In his free time, he loved being a 'Papa' and spending time with family and friends. It gave him great joy in making people laugh and smile before leaving their presence.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Terry Voncille Pharr, whom he personally nicknamed "Enna".
Steven "Rick" Pharr leaves behind to cherish his memory, two sons, Brian Cauthen, and Demario Fisher, both of Concord, NC, three daughters, Yo'Sheika Smith of Harrisburg, NC, LuRickeyia 'Lucy' Smith of Charlotte, NC, and Simone Fisher of Concord, NC. Thirteen grandchildren, Cassidy Patterson, Julez 'Nuke' Barnwell, Shamad Cauthen, KeMya Fisher, Quashawn Melton, JiZyr 'Ziggy' Smith, Terry 'Duce' Bruce II, Chase Bruce, JaHoz Smith, Armani 'MawMaw' Douglas, Ariah Smith, Chance Bruce, Aryan Smith; two sisters Brenda P. Gill of Concord, NC and Marsha Pharr of Grayson, GA; four brothers, Roger (Jacqueline) Pharr of Charlotte, NC, Aaron (Brenda) Pharr of Concord, NC, Frederick Pharr of Jacksonville, FL, and Lester (Stephanie) Pharr of Laurel, MD, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Lamb Funeral Home Inc. will be serving the family. Services will be held at Barber Scotia College in the Kittie Sanson Chapel, on Monday, October 9, 2023. Viewing will be open from 12 noon-1:00pm, Funeral Service at 1:00pm, with Burial immediately following service at Rutherford Memorial Park.
