SUMMITVILLE, IN – Steven E. "Steve" Randol, 69, entered peace and rest from his residence on Monday, September 15, 2025, after a hard fought battle with GBM cancer.

He was born on October 21, 1955, in Anderson to Norman and Rosemary (Bozell) Randol and was a lifetime resident in the Fairmount/Summitville area. He was a graduate of Madison-Grant High School-Class of 1974. In his teen years, Steve worked for Harner's Service in Fairmount making wrecker calls. Steve later drove for McClure Oil. He retired in 2021 from Conway Freight as a professional driver after logging more than a million accident-free miles over a 35-year career. Following retirement, Steve worked for Presnall Farms in Fairmount. Steve roller skated competitively from the Alexandria skating rink earning a state championship for doubles. He was an avid water skier. He was a former member of the Sons of the American Legion. He was a member of the 9th Street Car Club in Fairmount. Steve was a shade tree mechanic and was a fan of muscle cars. His '67 Chevelle has won numerous awards and trophies. He was a hands-on Mr. Fix-it kind of guy and always had a project going on of one sort or another. Steve has held season tickets for the Indianapolis Colts since 1994 and was a loyal fan of Indiana University basketball. Steve's smile will be sadly missed, but warmly and fondly remembered.
