We are saddened to announce Steven J Swartz, age 81, passed away on January 22, 2025 in Tampa, FL. Steven is survived by his son, Jason (Stephanie) Swartz, daughter, Samantha (Mike) Johnson, his adored granddaughters, Dylan and Paige Swartz, niece, Tracy Esterkin and cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Swartz, mother, Esther Swartz, sister, Stephanie Swartz, and niece, Andrea Esterkin.
Steven's enthusiasm for Ohio State sports was a constant in his life. The joy, friends, and love showed by the various Ohio State Alumni Clubs in Florida where he sold his Buckeye Fan Apparel merchandise was a highlight for him year after year.
A graveside service will be held at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, January 29th, at New Agudas Achim Cemetery, 2565 Performance Way, Columbus, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Congregation Agudas Achim or an Ohio State Alumni Club's scholarship fund.
We encourage all those who knew and loved Steven to share their memories and upload photos to his memorial page. We thank you for helping us to remember and celebrate the wonderful life of Steven Swartz.
