Steven John Walko

HUBBARD Steven John Walko, 71, died Sunday morning July 6, 2025 at Liberty Health Care. He was born February 24, 1954 in Youngstown, a son of Carl R. and Anita Nightengale Walko.

Mr. Walko, a 1972 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School, served with the National Guard for 6 years and was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. He was a programmer at Warren Fabricating for 31 years, retiring in 2014. Steven enjoyed riding motorcycles and golfing.

He leaves his wife, the former Brenda Harding, whom he married July 3, 1999; two daughters, Valerie Aldan of Ellisville, MS and Miranda Foster and her husband Robert of Petersburg, OH; three brothers, Carl Walko and his wife Margaret of Hudson, OH, Tom Walko and his wife Debra of Youngstown and Matthew Walko and his wife Susan of Strongsville, OH; five grandchildren, Maya Alden, Levi Foster, Emma Foster, Addyson Foster and Lane Foster.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother David and a sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and James Skripac.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday July 9, 2025 at the Kelley-Cummins Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday July 10, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church with The Very Rev. Michael D. Balash officiating.

The family requests memorial donations be made to UH Rainbow Babies and Childrens Hospital, University Hospitals, Institutional Relations & Development P.O. Box 94554, Cleveland, OH 44101-4554.

Interment will be at St. John Cemetery.
