Steven M. Yoder, 69, of Apple Creek, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 in Phoenix, AZ.
He was born in Wooster on January 30, 1955 to the late Milan J. and Ruth (Miller) Yoder and married Bena Schlabach on September 30, 1982 and she survives.
In addition to his wife, Bena, he is survived by children, Joas (Lisa) Yoder of Winesburg, James (Fran) Yoder of the home, Moses (Ina) Yoder of Apple Creek, Naomi (Elam) Yoder of Berlin, Emily (Lamar) Miller of Sugarcreek; 16 grandchildren; sisters, Betty (late Aden) Miller, Mae (JR) Troyer, Susan Yoder, Barbara (Mervin) Miller and Lori (Leroy) Mast, all of Apple Creek; a brother, Andrew (Linda) Yoder of Apple Creek; and a step-sister, Sarah Cunningham.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Charles Knowles; his in-laws, Mose and Freda Schlabach; and his step-mother-in-law, Anna Yoder.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 9:00 am at Yoder Hydraulics, 12315 Dover Road, Apple Creek with Bishop Ray Coblentz officiating. Burial will be in Hershberger Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday after 2:00 pm and anytime on Saturday at Yoder Hydraulics. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
