Stuart Seebeck Obituary

In Loving Memory of Stuart Seebeck
October 12, 1955 – November 14, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Stuart (Stu) Seebeck, 69, of West Warwick, announce that he passed away suddenly in his home, on the evening of November 14th, 2024.
Stu Seebeck lived a life defined by hard work, compassion, and generosity. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, to his loving parents Dorothy and August Michael Seebeck. Stu moved to Pawtucket, Rhode Island, at the age of 13, where he built a legacy of love and care that touched everyone around him. In adulthood, Stu worked as a tile setter, a correctional officer, and a softball coach.
Stu was a devoted husband to Sandra, whom he married in 2005. Over 19 wonderful years together, they shared memories of love and family with each other, adopting two cats, Macey and Smokey together, whom Stu loved and cared for dearly. Stu leaves behind five daughters, Andrea Nufio (Alfredo), Wendy-Lee Marcello, Mindy-Lee Kelsey (Billy), Danika-Rae Mignano (Joey), and Jaime-Lyn Wass (Will).
As a family with 11 children, Stu cherished his bond with each of his brothers and sisters: he is survived by Eric Seebeck, Edith Labron, John Seebeck, Edmund Seebeck, Glenn Seebeck, and Barry Seebeck. He carried the memory of his predeceased siblings-Kenneth Seebeck, Barbara Seebeck, Lynn Kles, and Carl Seebeck-with him always.
He was the doting uncle, grandfather and great grandfather, to many, always making sure to show up for graduations, weddings, and other milestones in their lives. Stu made sure that each child always knew how proud he was of them and their various accomplishments.
Stu had many passions in life. He enjoyed playing pool with his brothers. An avid Yankee fan, Stu loved rooting for his favorite team. He loved fishing and shared that joy with his grandchildren, teaching them how to catch a fish. He was also an exceptional cook, making sure no one ever left his home hungry. Every Thanksgiving, Stu made it a point to bring plates of leftovers to gas station workers, ensuring they too, could enjoy a warm meal. His loud, caring personality made everyone around him feel special and loved.
This memorial honors a man whose heart was as big as his spirit-a man who gave endlessly, loved deeply, and left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will remain in our hearts forever.
The silences left behind by Stu's absence will be used to remember him, sending our love to him.
His visitation will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 4-7pm with a service at 7pm in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick.
