Sucel Amparo Reyes-Columna

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Sucel Reyes, who departed this life on July 9, 2025, at the age of 38. Born on August 3, 1986, Sucel was a beloved daughter, sister, fiancée, mother to her stepdaughter, caregiver for her mother, and cherished friend whose warmth, creativity, and dedication touched the lives of all who knew her. Sucel worked for Rutgers University in the Real Estate Department and recently fulfilled her passion of becoming a nail technician. Though new to the field, she displayed a talent typically seen in seasoned professionals. Her smile lit up every room, and her laughter brought comfort and joy to those around her. She was engaged to Steven Puello, her partner and best friend, with whom she shared a deep and enduring love. Together, they built a life rooted in mutual respect, humor, and dreams for the future. Though her time with loved ones was cut short, the connections she forged remain an inspiration to all who knew her. Though she is gone far too soon, Sucel Reyes leaves behind a legacy of beauty, love, and strength. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered. May she rest in peace. A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a Funeral Service at 4:00 pm on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at The Lehrer-Gibilisco Funeral Home located at 275 West Milton Avenue in Rahway, NJ.
