Sue Colvin Lemons, 67, of Piedmont, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Gadsden, Etowah County, AL to John Wesley and Opal Payne Colvin. A graduate of Southside High School, she enrolled in nursing school, but life had a way of changing her directions. She married Dennis Lemons and worked at Springs as a sewing machine operator. They were the proud parents of two children. Her parents and her husband preceded her in death. Survivors include her son: Jonathan Lemons (and his wife, Erica); and daughter: Jessica Adkison; four grandchildren: Hayley Adkison, Mason Adkison, Brody Lemons, and Tyson Lemons; and several siblings. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
