Memorial service for Susan Freeman, age 77, of Mount Pleasant will be held at 2:00 P.M on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Northridge Church of Christ. Mrs. Freeman passed away at her residence on September 13, 2024.
Susan Lorraine Freeman was born in St. Petersburg, FL to Frances & John McCullough on March 23, 1947. Her father was career military, and their family lived in Mississippi, Newfoundland, Seattle, San Diego, and the Philippines as she was growing up. Her family eventually moved to Mineral Wells, Texas in 1962, where she met Thomas Dewey Freeman. They were married in 1964 and had two sons, Timothy Freeman and Ty Freeman.
She was proceeded in death by her mother and father, her brother, Johnny, her sister, Diane, and her son, Tim Freeman. She is survived by her sister, Linda Crain, her husband, Tom Freeman, her son, Ty Freeman, eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
She was a dedicated member of North Ridge Church of Christ for the last 24 years and worked at State Farm Insurance as a claim representative for over 30 years. After retiring, she volunteered as a pink lady at Titus County Regional Hospital.
Sue’s life revolved around the Church. She served youth groups, attended Bible studies, and ministered to others through mission support, children's homes, and many home-cooked meals.
Sue never met a stranger. She was an avid reader and loved animals of all kinds. She enjoyed scuba diving, traveling with her husband Tom, and being with her grandkids & great-grandkids.
