Susan Mary G Matteson was born to the late Nelson and Mary Agnes guillotte on September 4th, 1958 in New Iberia, Louisiana. She transitioned into eternal rest on July 18th at 1:54 pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was a long time resident of Jeanerette. On January 9, 1981 she married Thomas Matteson. Sue as she was affectionally known to family and friends, loved family gatherings especially on holidays, birthdays and going out to eat at Chinese buffets. She enjoyed sitting down at her computer playing her games and scrolling through Facebook in her spare time. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grand kids that kept her on her feet and kept her going. She was the family hero, there was never a dull moment when Sue was around. She made sure she kept a smile on her face no matter what she was going through. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband of 44 years Thomas Matteson, one daughter Bobbiejo Galatas Olivier four grandkids Brett (Francine) Galatas, Jeremy Paul Olivier Sr (Jp), Justin Olivier and Brianna Olivier. She cherished her three great grandkids Keh’lani & Dion Antoine and Journi Nova Marie Olivier and one step grand daughter Jaquline Vargas, one brother Louis “Pooky”(Helen) Leblanc, one niece Goldie Mendoza, and a host of great nieces and nephews.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Nelson and Mary Agnes Guillotte, her paternal grandparents Hector and Louisiana Broussard Guillotte, maternal grandparents Martha and Paul Eskind. She is also proceeded in death by a host of numerous aunts and uncles.
