Susan Melissa Stodden, 79, of Thornton, Colorado, passed away on August 16th, 2024. She was born to parents Herald and Dorothy Wixom, on May 20th, 1945 in Rapid City, South Dakota.
She graduated from El Camino High School in 1963. She went on to study Home Economics at Graceland University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Sacramento State.
Susan worked as a Teacher, a Tour Guide at Coors Brewing Company for 14 years, and at Joann Fabrics.
Susan, a cherished individual known for her kind, loving, caring personality, enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, and playing ukulele. Also, she and her husband, Ray, volunteered as Spell Binders, reading to children across the metro area.
Susan met Raymond in 1963. They were married on August 26th, 1967 in Sacramento, California. Together they raised 3 children: Chris, Chad, Colby.
Susan is survived by her spouse, Ray; her children, Chris, Chad, and Colby; her grandchildren: Trent, Kellan, Logan, Rachel, Zach, Hailey, and Lindsey.
She was preceded in death by her father, Herald Wixom and mother, Dorothy Wixom.
The family has entrusted Horan & McConaty with the arrangements.
