She is survived by her daughter, Christine Freeman (John); her sons, Phillip Watts (Carla), Timmy Watts (Katrena), and Clifford "Chip" Watts; and her grandchildren, Ashley Willard, Joshua Rieffel, Victoria Michelli, Gavin Michelli, and Braelyn Freeman. She is also survived by step-grandchildren Jason Hersey, Jennifer Foster, and Sam Foster, as well as seven great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her-especially her dear friend, Mrs. Anne Louque.
Susan graduated from Mount Carmel Academy in 1966. She attended Northeast University School of Pharmacy where she graduated in 1972. She dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a pharmacist, working at Ochsner Main Campus Pharmacy, Gem Drugs, and The Medicine Shoppe in Reserve and LaPlace. She retired in 2009.
Outside of work, Susan found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved reading, playing cards with her Thursday night card group, and taking casino bus trips with friends. She was also an avid grower of plumeria plants-fondly known as her "sticks"-and found great happiness in sharing her passion for them with others.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses of East Jefferson General Hospital, Room 7104, for their exceptional care, to Visiting Angels, C&S Pharmacy, and especially to Heart of Hospice, Janae, for their compassion and kindness during Susan's final days.
