PETERSTOWN, WV – Susan Ann Weiss, 70, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, Radford, VA. Susan was born March 8, 1954, in Ballard, WV, to the late George E. Weiss and Margaret "Louise" Weiss. With loving care, she has resided at the homes of Philip and Janet Weiss and Dickie and Janet Meadows for the past 41 years.
In addition to her parents, "Susie" was preceded in death by her sister, Bernice Weiss Harris; and brother-in-law, Shirley Harris.
Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Philip G. Weiss (Janet), Estil L. Weiss, Tracy Weiss (Bonnie), Lacy Weiss (Barbara), and Richard "Doc" Weiss (Diane);
Sisters, Elizabeth W. Grant (Kenneth), and Janet W. Meadows (Eddie "Dickie").
Nephews, T. Scott Harris, Scott Grant (Betty), Mike Weiss (Melissa), Mark Weiss, Shannon Meadows (Billie), Scott Meadows (Rachel), and Jason Meadows (Amy).
Nieces, Anna Bridges, Barb H. Riley, Larissa Graham (Chris), Angie Macri (Jimmy), Deanna Gore (Curtis), Cheryl Wilburn (Mike), Hollie Cox (Duane), Lenore Weiss, Brooke Baffuto (Steve); and several great nieces, great nephews, and great great nieces.
The Weiss Family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Caleb Cutherell and the nursing staff at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center for their care and kindness show to Susie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Christian Acres Service Camp (1351 Evangelism Road, Bluefield, WV 24701).
Graveside services will be held at 4:30PM on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the Orchard Cemetery in Ballard, WV, with Pastor Joe Spencer officiating. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery.
