Suzanne Ruth Ertel (affectionately known as "G" by her grandchildren), 78, of Hamilton, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Care One at Hamilton Assisted Living.
Born in Trenton, New Jersey, she resided there before settling down in Hamilton 48 years ago. Sue graduated from Steinert High School, Class of 1963. She worked as a Bank Associate with Princeton Bank for several years.
In her free time, Sue devoted herself to her grandchildren. They were her whole life. She enjoyed taking them to the beach and to the boardwalk. She also enjoyed joining them in various events and experiences and just being with them. When not with her grandchildren, Sue also enjoyed spending her time at the casinos, watching golf with her best friend, Barbara Perdue, rooting for the Green Bay Packers, and listening to the oldies, especially Elvis Presley.
Predeceased by her parents, Frank and Ruth Squibb; her brothers, Jeffrey and Edward Squibb; and her beloved husband, Thomas A. Ertel; Sue is survived by her best friend of 45 years, Barbara Perdue; her children, Thomas J. Ertel and his wife, Alison Hyman-Ertel, of Hamilton, Tricia R. Ray of Hamilton and Scott R. Ertel and his wife, Christine Ertel, of Hamilton; her grandchildren, Isabela, Madalyn, Joshua, Kara, Matthew and Raymond; her great-grandchildren, Levi and Callie; her nephews, Frank and Edward Squibb; and her loving cousins and many friends and family members.
