Sylvester Louis Clements, born on June 30, 1960, in Jacksonville, Florida, peacefully passed away on January 21, 2024, in his hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. He was a loving and caring individual, cherished by his family and friends. His early education was completed in the Duval County Public Schools system, where he laid the foundation for a lifetime of learning and growth.
Sylvester was known for his kind-hearted nature and his dedication to helping others. He had a passion for maintaining beautiful lawns and worked tirelessly in the Lawn Care service industry throughout his career. His commitment to his work was evident in the immaculate landscapes he created for his clients.
Beyond his professional life, Sylvester found solace and joy in his favorite hobby, fishing. Spending time by the water, casting his line, and patiently waiting for a bite brought him a sense of peace and contentment. It was during these moments that he felt truly connected to nature and its calming presence.
Sylvester will be deeply missed by his surviving siblings, James Clements (Yvonne), Frank Clements (Norma), Lena Smith, Jaquline Leon (Clint), and Kelvin Clements (Tommy). He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Lee Clements, his father, James Monroe Clements, Sr., and his sister, Patrica Eubanks. Sylvester also leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and many sorrowing friends who will forever cherish his memory.
In remembering Sylvester Clements, we honor his legacy of love, care, and dedication. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to bring comfort to all those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
