Sylvia Wasdahl Flaa

Flaa, Sylvia (nee Wasdahl) age 93, of Minnetonka, died December 16, 2025. Preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Charles M. Flaa; her parents; her brothers, John, Elmer, Louie, Walter and Richard, and her sisters, Alice, Doris, Agnes, and Dorothy. Survived by her daughter, Cynthia Flaa (Robert dec.) Cushing; sons, Steven and John (Jill); grandchildren, Arthur Flaa, Libby Flaa, Alec Flaa, John Cushing, David Cushing, Anna DiCosimo (Daniel); great-granddaughters, Sylvia Kay and Juliana Ruth DiCosimo.
In her middle years, she returned to her studies to complete her B.A. in English Literature at the University of Minnesota and her M.A. at Hamline University. Next to raising her family, finishing her education was her proudest accomplishment.
Memorial service 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church, 17205 County Road 6, Plymouth with visitation one hour prior at church. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners in Plymouth or to the Minnesota Humane Society.
