Sylvia Ann Theriot Wax

Sylvia Ann Theriot Wax, 85, of Denham Springs, was welcomed into the arms of our Savior on December 11, 2025, after a very brief illness.

A devout Catholic, Sylvia was a longtime parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was a proud graduate of Denham Springs High School and worked for many years as a dedicated hairdresser. Sylvia also served in many capacities with the Girl Scouts of America, where she guided and inspired countless young girls in her community through her leadership and compassion.

She is survived by her children, John "Skipper" Wax and Sherri Butler; her grandchildren, Karlie Parent (Dexter), Katie Haggard, and Emily Wax; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Camille and Dot Theriot; her brother, "CJ" Theriot; her sister, Edith Reeves; and is now dancing in heaven with her devoted and loving companion of 22 years, Hilton "Jack" Coon.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Sylvia's visitation at Immaculate Conception Church, Friday, December 19, 2025, from11:00 AM until services begin at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dexter Parent, Brandon Vikowski, Tyler Vanosdell, Jacob Harrell, Joey Harrell, and Joshua Harrell.

Sylvia will be remembered for her deep faith, kindness, and devotion to her family. Her gentle spirit, joyful heart, and lifelong commitment to serving others will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
