Tamara "Tammy" Armistead
March 4, 1959 - May 27, 2025
Tamara "Tammy" Armistead passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Jesse and Jean White, and her devoted husband, Theodore "Ted" Armistead.
Tammy is survived by her sister, Susan (John), along with 10 nieces and nephews, 8 great-nieces and great-nephews, and a host of extended family relatives and dear friends.
Tammy had a lifelong love for animals and was rarely without the companionship of a beloved dog. She found joy in the outdoors, especially fishing and observing nature, and she loved the camaraderie of playing softball.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Life Care of Athens for their compassionate care and dedication over the past three years. Tammy found great fulfillment in volunteering with the Activities Department and came to see the staff as part of her extended family. Your kindness and support will always be remembered with deep appreciation.
