Tamara June Brost, was born August 20, 1974, and was called home to be with Jesus on April 12, 2025. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Tammy had many physical and emotional struggles that she walked through with Jesus beside her. She asked God to take away her cravings and addiction to drugs and alcohol and fill her with him, his love and give her comfort. God faithfully did just that. He filled her with a great hunger for his word and a passion for helping others.
Tammy attended Great Lakes Church "her happy place" and attended and served at events at The Mustard Tree Church and The Ruth House Ministry. She collected and made warm blankets and clothing for the homeless this winter and delivered them to several locations. Tammy also looked forward to serving with the church's outreach on Saturdays at the Chum and talking with people. She was all about God and people and bringing them together.
Tammy was very generous with what she had, she helped the people living under the bridge and tent city. She has been 24 months drug and alcohol free by the grace of God. She will be remembered for being a very giving person and always willing to help other people.
Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Charles Brost, her stepmother, Sandra Brost, her sister, Becki Gould; her nephew, Justin Moorman, and best friend, Georgia Kujava.
Survivors include her mother, Kathleen Howard; her stepdad, Wayne Howard; her sister, Suzanne (Kenny Lund) Larsen; her brother, Erron (Jen) Brost, Sr.; her nieces, Mysti Peterson, and Heather Blix; her nephews, Roger (Jessica) Larsen III, Richard Larsen, Randy Larsen, Ryan Larsen, Ethan Blix-Brost, Erron Brost, Jr., Kreytt Slocum, Kanyon Slocum, and Keityn Gould; her puppy, Crystal, her cat Baby; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins that she loved dearly.
A visitation will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 4:30 p.m. until the 5:30 p.m. Celebration of Life at Great Lakes Church, 4501 Glenwood St., Duluth, MN.
