In loving memory of Tanya "Tonya" Lee Asher Irvin,
Tanya "Tonya" Lee Asher Irvin, bid farewell to this world on August 12, 2024, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY. A former dedicated employee of ARH Hospital in the dietary and supply departments, and the Leslie County Board of Education. She was born on December 31, 1975, in Harlan, KY, and was a cherished member of the Dryfork Holiness Church and a lifelong resident of Leslie County, KY.
Tanya's passion for life extended beyond her career as she found immense joy in camping, traveling, cooking, and relishing meals with loved ones. Above all, she treasured spending time with her family members, being actively involved in their lives, and creating lasting memories.
During her time on earth, Tanya was blessed with a beautiful family who meant everything to her. She was the loving and devoted wife of Willie Irvin from Helton, KY, her devoted mother: Joyce Gross Asher, three sons: Jared Simpson (Danielle) of Thousandsticks, KY, Willie Irvin III (Cassie) of Coxton, KY, Hunter Irvin of Helton, KY, two daughters: Morgan Betty Lynn Simpson (Scott Begley) of Busy, KY, Kyleigh Joyce Ann Simpson of Helton, KY, one sister: Verda Callahan (Bill) of Bledsoe, KY, and a cherished granddaughter, Zaylee Ann Simpson. She was also survived by a host of other treasured relatives and friends.Tanya's proudest accomplishment was becoming a grandmother to her first grandchild, Zaylee Ann Simpson, a joy that filled her heart with boundless love. In her eternal rest, Tanya reunites with her father, Leemon Asher, her sister Patricia Whitehead, and her brother Leemon Asher, Jr.
Funeral: Saturday, August 17th from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the Dryfork Holiness Church, Helton, KY
Minister: Rev. Roscoe Asher
Interment: Brock Cemetery, Helton, KY
Pallbearers: Jared Simpson, Willie Irvin II, Hunter Irvin, Jody Whitehead, Cody Whitehead, and Scott Begley
Visitation: Friday, August 16th from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at the Dryfork Holiness Church, Helton, KY
