Teresa Smith Obituary
She was born on August 3, 1938, in Livingston Manor, NY, the daughter of Arnold Froehlich and Rosetta Pozzi.
Teresa retired after more than 40 years of service from Corning Inc, where she began her career in July of 1960 in payroll. She enjoyed playing cards, sewing, crafts, and putting together puzzles. She was also an avid reader and loved any show that had Tom Selleck in it. Teresa loved the holidays. Her house was always decorated, and she loved hosting family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Mark) Passmore of Marion, NY; sons, Jeffery Smith of Elmira, NY and Kris (Becky) Smith of Addison, NY; grandchildren: Andrew (Tracy), Caroline, Laura, Nathaniel and Emily Passmore, Shannon, Kristy (Lacey) and Corey Smith, and Keri and Keli Smith; and great-grandchildren: Dakota, Everett, and Tarin Passmore. Also surviving are Teresa's siblings: Gene (Carol) Froehlich, Mary Froehlich, John (Shirley) Froehlich, Lorraine Sanfeliz-Roy, Edward (Pat) Froehlich, Paul Froehlich, Jean Southard, Joyce (Don) French, Rosemarie Beecher, Shirley Dewert, Bob (Ina) Froehlich, and Terry (Patty) Brimmer; brother-in-law, Jerry Morse; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Teresa was predeceased by her grandsons, Benjamin and Matthew Passmore; her sisters, Ginger Morse and Anna May Froehlich; and her brother, Tim Brimmer.
Memorial donations may be made in Teresa's name to a charity of your choice.
Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc, 216 E. 1st Street, Corning, NY 14830, where a Memorial Service will take place at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Corning.
