Teri Christine Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by DeMoss-Durdan Funeral Home and Crematory - Corvallis on Dec. 22, 2025.
Embraced by the comfort of family, Teri Lynn Christine, affectionately called "Mimi," passed peacefully on December 18, 2025 from late-stage pancreatic cancer. Teri Lynn (Hartman) Christine was born on October 8, 1950, in Muncie, Indiana, to Merlyn Ward Hartman and Irma Lois (Zastrow) Hartman. She attended Wapahani High School in Selma, Indiana, and later Porter Business College in Indianapolis. After graduating, she began a career in the Publishing industry, most recently as the Account Executive at the Herald Bulletin Newspaper in Anderson, Indiana. After the loss of her first husband, she raised her son with the same strength of character that she later demonstrated in raising two of her grandchildren. Teri enjoyed many outdoor activities, including camping and bird watching. After moving to Oregon in 2014, her most recent outdoor endeavor was to hike to all the waterfalls located throughout the Willamette Valley. Teri loved studying her family's history and its genealogy. She collected old books and was always on the search for elusive rare finds at the estate sales she frequented. Her two greatest joys in life were her faith in God and making others laugh. She is survived by her sister, and lifelong friend, Sheila LaRae (Hartman) Curling, who shared in the responsibility of raising two of Teri's Grandchildren. She is also survived by her son, Brian Edward Christine, and his partner, Laura Houston. Brian had five children with his former wife, Ruth (Medland) Christine: Bethany, Lydia, Miriam, who reside in Cornwall, England, as well as Milo and his wife, Cassie Holloway-Christine, and Abigail. Teri is also survived by three great-grandchildren, her close friend Janet Pierce, cousins, and friends. In accordance with her wishes, no funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Park Service.
