Mark Ried Obituary
He was born on December 18, 1958 in Muncie, the son of Ralph B. Ried, Sr. and Ruth (Fultz) Ried and graduated from Wapahani High School in 1978. After high school, Mark worked for Indy Fence Company for many years before moving to Naples, Florida, where he worked for the county. He moved back to Selma in 2010.
He was a member of the Selma American Legion, enjoyed fishing, boating and was an avid dog and cat lover.
Surviving are five siblings, Barbara Baker and Peggy Milller (husband, Tony) both of Muncie, Julie Gruwell (Steve) of Yorktown, Keith Foreman (wife, Sue) of Naples, FL and Robert Ried of Glasgow, KY; his partner, Jane Costerison of Selma; many nieces, nephews and friends; and his beloved cat, Psycho.
Per Mark's request, cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Beverly Marks and Pam Riley; two brothers, Ralph B. Ried, Jr. and Larry Ried.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Muncie Animal Shelter, 901 W. Riggin Road, Muncie, IN, 47303.
