Terrie Lynn Colgin

Terrie Lynn Holland Colgin, age 74, quietly passed away the morning of December 23rd, 2024, at Deerings Nursing Home in Odessa, Texas.
Terrie was a member of Spirit and Truth Church in Odessa. She is now with Jesus, whom she spent her entire life worshipping and living for.
Terrie graduated from Permian High School and from the University of Texas. She was a member of Tri Delta sorority, and as a freshman was elected as a cheerleader for the Longhorns. Her senior year she was chosen as Student Teacher of The Year. The University produced several instructional videos featuring Terrie and her ideas on positive reinforcement that were used across the country. Terrie was actively involved in prayer ministry and loved praying not only for her family and friends but for nations across the world.
She is preceded in death by her son, John Colgin Jr.; her father, Dr. Herman D. Holland; her mother, Jean Holland Ferguson; her stepfather, Neal Ferguson; her brother, Scott Holland; father-in-law, John R. Buzz Colgin; her mother-in-law, Jean Colgin.
Terrie is survived by her husband of 54 years, Johnny Colgin; her daughter, Paige Colgin; her sister, Gail Holland Kimbrell; her grandson, David Jeremiah Colgin; daughter-in-law, Charmaine Colgin; she is also survived by many nieces and cousins, all of whom she loved dearly.
She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3pm, Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Renew Life Church office building (410 S Pecos St, Midland, TX 79701). Memorial donations may be made to Every Home For Christ (640 Chapel Hills Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80920).
