Terry Berrong

Terry Berrong, age 74, of Henderson, KY, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at his home under the care of his daughters, granddaughter and St. Anthony's Hospice.
Terry was a truck driver since the 70's and retired in the 90's. He worked at the city cemetery in Henderson for the past 20 plus years until his final retirement in 2015. Terry was an avid hunter, outdoorsman, and enjoyed 4 wheeling and watching his westerns. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was Grand Knight for a year. Terry was a longtime member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. He was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for the Holy Name Men's Club. At one time, he was on the board for St. Louis Cemetery in Henderson. He was a man of his word and loved his family with and extraordinary love. Some people may have only known the hard exterior, but his family knew his true nature.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Mary Berrong, wife of 52 years Judy Berrong, and his siblings: Henry Berrong, Randall Berrong, Steve Berrong, and Robert Berrong.
Terry is survived by his daughters Bobbi Littlepage and her husband Sammy of Henderson, KY and Jennifer Berrong of Henderson, KY; son Mike Berrong of Henderson, KY; brothers: Roger Berrong of South Carolina and Bruce Berrong of Henderson, KY; grandchildren: Ashley Kennedy, Katie Snow, Cameron Berrong, Gracee Overfield, Jurnee Overfield, and Darra Eades; great grandchildren: Tucker, Sophie, Henry, Aniston, and Amelia; nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Terry's Life Celebration from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY.
A prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2023, at the funeral home.
