Mr. Wayne Oneil Berrong, age 86 of Hartwell, Ga., passed away peacefully on August 25, 2024.
A native of Kannapolis, NC he was born on November 19, 1937 to the late Monroe and Myrtie Chambers Berrong. Wayne graduated from UGA with a BS degree and worked in the chemical business as a production manager. He was a Baptist by faith.
Left to cherish his memories are; his wife, Barbara Berrong, sons, Kendall Berrong of Hartwell, Ga., and Jeremy Scott Berrong and his wife Jennifer of Bowerville, Ga., brother, Billy Ray Berrong, grandchildren, Cane, Chase and Wyatt Berrong, great-grandchildren, Drea, Max and Jackson Berrong. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Robert Neal Berrong, and siblings, Lamar Berrong and Lou Ellen Rowland.
To honor his request, he will be cremated and the family will greet friends on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Coile and Hall Funeral Directors from 5-7 p.m. Family members are at their respective homes.
Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell. Words of comfort and condolence nay be left for the family by visiting www.coileandhallfd.com
