Terry Lane Fay, 85, of Galva, KS, passed away Monday, September 2, 2024 at Pleasant View Home, Inman, Kansas.
He was born in Salina, Kansas on September 4, 1938, son of E.R. and Freda (Moseley) Fay.
Terry attended Salina grade school and graduated from Salina Central High School in 1956.
He was a member of Galva Community Church.
Through the years Terry worked at the bowling alley setting bowling pins and as a laborer for the flour mill, both in Salina; a welder for Swick Guth Co., and a carpenter for Peter's Lumber, both in McPherson; and was an over the road owner operator of his own truck, Galva.
Terry enjoyed gardening, woodworking, dancing, chatting with friends during morning coffee and spending time with friends and family.
Terry was united in marriage to Karen Porter on February 7, 1958 in Salina. They established their first home together in Salina. This union was blessed with the birth of two sons and a daughter, Timothy, Teia and Daniel.
He is survived by his children, Timothy (Cindy) Fay, of Inman, Teia (James) Janzen, of Galva and Daniel (Janet) Fay, of Inman; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Karen; brothers, Walter and Eugene and sisters, Patricia, Gloria and Carol Sue.
Memorial Service will be held 10:30 am on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Glidden- Ediger-Wiggins Funeral Home in McPherson, with Pastor Linda Mohr officiating.
Burial will be held at Empire Cemetery, Galva.
The family would like you to join them for a meal at the Galva Senior Center, following the burial.
Family requests donations to Galva Senior Center and they can be sent to Glidden-Ediger-Wiggins Funeral Home, 222 W. Euclid St., McPherson, KS. 67460.
