Terry Hoover Obituary

Terry was born April 22, 1938, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Walter and Hannah Hoover. He graduated from Beecher High School with the class of 1956. Terry married the love of his life, Carol King on May 23, 1959. He worked for General Motors as a supervisor for 36 years. Terry was a Mason with Vienna Lodge #205. He was involved with the Old Newsboys, Carriage Town Ministries, and the Shriners. Terry was school board president for Westwood Heights schools for many years. If you knew Terry, you know he was the biggest University of Michigan fan you ever met, he was always wearing his maize and blue. Above all, Terry enjoyed spending time with his family. At home, he could be found at the sporting events of his grandchildren, golfing at Vienna Greens, or being everyone's favorite Santa. Terry also treasured his time in Oscoda for deer camp or relaxing lakeside. He was an amazing husband, dad, and grandpa who will be missed by many.
Surviving are: Wife of 63 years, Carol Hoover; Children: Terry (Janice) Hoover, and Suzy (David) Adkins; Grandchildren: Daniel (Bethany) Hoover, Brianna (Jefferey) Penrod, Zachary Adkins, and Rebecca Adkins; Step granddaughter, Kay (Ron) Vandemeer; Great grandchildren: Brody, Cameron, Lucas, Isabella, Dominic, and Russell; Step great grandchild, Jordan, and
many beloved nieces and nephews; Sisters: Nina Burkhardt, and Charlotte Finkbiner. He is preceded in death by siblings: Walter Hoover, Herbert Hoover, Elliot Hoover, Donald Hoover, Kathy Thompson, Jay Edgar Hoover, Edith Marsh, Lionel Hoover, Marlyne Gatica, Leo Frank Hoover, and Mildred Hoover. Nan and I are so very sorry and sad with your loss of Terry. The names Terry and Carol will be etched in our memories forever.
Many great times spent with the Hoover family. What impressed me the most of Terry was his complete love for Carol,Terry Jr.and Suzy. He was very proud of his children and every thing they accomplished. Condolences to the entire family, love is in our hearts, Nan and Paul Ranger
