Terry Russo of the Four Seasons Community in Columbus, NJ, passed away on June 10, 2025. She was 89 years old. Her husband, Ronald Russo, passed away five years ago, and her daughter, Virginia Perna, passed away last year. She is survived by three sons, Anthony, Timothy, and Roy, by ten grandchildren, and by four great-grandchildren.
From her youth, Terry wanted to be a nurse. She met that challenge by graduating from Clifton High School, earning an associate's degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and serving as a registered nurse on the polio ward at Valley View Hospital in Paramus, NJ. This was a brave endeavor because polio was extremely contagious and there was no known cure. After turning her attention to raising children while they were young, she applied her medical knowledge to serving as a Crew Chief on the Green Knoll Rescue Squad in Bridgewater, NJ.
Terry lived a deep faith and read the Bible from cover to cover eighty-five times. She enjoyed meeting in faith-sharing groups, Bible studies, and classes at her churches - at Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle on Long Island and most recently at Capital Assembly of God Church in Hamilton, NJ. In her later days, she was unable to attend church often, but she faithfully remained active on the prayer chain.
A viewing is scheduled from on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 12PM to 1PM, at the Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Avenue, Bordentown, NJ. A funeral service will follow at 1PM, at the Huber-Moore Funeral Home.
Interment will be in the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Terry Russo, please visit our Tree Store.
