Born in Mt. Holly, NJ, Doris was a life long Bordentown resident. She was the Office Manager for both the Del Crest Medical Supply in Hamilton, and Tupperware in Hamilton. Doris taught Sunday School at the First Baptist Church of Bordentown. She enjoyed crocheting, shopping, watching figure skating and Hallmark movies.
Wife of the late Thomas Allen; mother of the late Donna Pointsett; grandmother of the late Jason Horvath; she is survived by her two children, Michael Allen (Charlotte), and Melanie Sorensen (the late Albert Blakeslee and the late Darryl Sorensen); two brothers, Robert Filer and Walter Filer (Fran); seven grandchildren, Jennifer Oliver, Laura Bohem, Megan Millwood, Matthew Allen, Stefanie Blakeslee, Albert Blakeslee III, and Madison Sorensen; 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Doris' memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
All arrangements are under the care and direction of the Huber-Moore Funeral Home, Bordentown, NJ.
