Thalie St. Aude was born on September 16, 1936, to a beautiful family named Gaspar St. Aude and Clairevani Barthelemy. She had nine siblings, among whom Amil and Archange are still with us. Thalie was married to Pascal Toussaint, and together they had five children: Ermitha St. Aude, Madrienne T. Garcon, Pasmith Toussaint, Asseline Bijoux, and Jean Toussaint. She was also a proud grandmother to 20 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 16 great-grandchildren.
Thalie lived a simple life, guided by her philosophy of education and conservation. She strongly believed that everyone needed some form of education to thrive in life. Although her formal education was cut short, she quickly developed an interest in business. A resourceful businesswoman, she traveled from town to town buying goods to sell in order to support her family. She was deeply family-oriented; while living in the United States, she regularly sent support to her family in Haiti.
Thalie was loved by many and was well known in her hometown of Deroulin, where she lived until about age 45. In 1981, she moved to Bassin Bleu, where she resided until relocating to Florida to be closer to her children. Her hobbies included sewing and gardening. Thalie was an incredible human being, known for her gentle spirit, deep faith, and captivating storytelling. She touched the lives of everyone she met and taught us the value of hard work, the importance of family, and the beauty of compassion. Her laughter, stories, and strength will be deeply missed.
On April 13, 2025, God called one of His faithful servants home. This date will remain in our hearts as the day Thalie gained her wings and ascended to heaven as our guardian
Please keep the family in your prayers while we're going through these difficult times. The Family would like to thank all of you for your support and prayers. We would like to especially give recognition to those that have traveled to pay their respects.
Her relatives include her children: Marietha St.Aude Gernier, Madrienne T. Garcon, Pasmith Toussaint, Asseline Bijoux, Jean C.
