Theresa Novak

Theresa (Terry) Novak, peacefully entered into eternal rest on
January 29, 2024. A resident of Delran, NJ since 1972, Terry was
born in Port Griffith, PA on April 25, 1939 to Thomas and Anna Novak
(Simaj). Terry was the youngest of seven children and was the last
living of her siblings. She was a beloved daughter, sister,
sister-in-law, cousin, and aunt.
Terry grew up in Wilkes-Barre, PA and graduated from St. Mary's
High School in 1956. Terry worked for the Social Security Administration in Philadelphia
for 35 years until her retirement in 1995.
Terry was an avid fan of both golf and tennis and would never miss watching matches
and tournaments even if she had to tape them first and watch them when she could.
Her all-time favorite was Jack Nicholas.
Terry was devoted to her Catholic faith and spent countless hours in prayer and
volunteering her time at numerous parishes. She attended daily mass until recently and
had a great devotion to the Rosary and the Mercy Chaplet. Terry loved attending Latin
masses. She was a parishioner at St. Peter's Church in Merchantville and was a
member of the Adoration Apostolate at Resurrection Parish in Delran. Terry was very
fond of all the friends she made during her years of devotion to her faith.
Terry is survived by her sister-in-law, Bernice Novak, and her nieces and nephews: Joe
Szot, Frank Szot, Jeannie Gwin (George), Sharon King (James), Tom Novak (Shelly), Kathy McHugh (Jim),
Karen Reilly (Brian), Lisa McLaughlin (Mike), and Beckie Sweezy. Terry was the
great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. Terry is predeceased by her parents and her
siblings: Josephine, Mary Rose, Anna, Joseph, Josephine, and Thomas. She is also
predeceased by her nephews James, Robert, and Thomas and her niece Barbara.
Terry's life will be celebrated at Inglesby & Sons Funeral Home, 2426 Cove Road,
Pennsauken, NJ on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 9 a.m.-10 a.m. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church
on W. Maple Avenue, Merchantville, NJ, Interment at 12:15 p.m. at Mt Carmel Cemetery 42 W. Main St. Moorestown, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at
stjude.org
