Therese Marie Rabatin

Therese Marie Rabatin, 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Therese lived a life marked by her faith, warmth, strength, kindness, generosity, and deep devotion to family and friends.

The only daughter of Charles and Ann Plamp, Therese grew up in St. Agnes Parish with her four brothers. A proud graduate of Assumption High School, Therese spent the majority of her working career with Professional Bank Service, where she helped in the Education Division.

Her true passion and greatest joy in her life was spending time with her family and friends. She lovingly raised two children, William and Elizabeth, and especially enjoyed family vacations, her children's sporting events, as well as participating in activities at St. Martha and St. Agnes Parishes. She was loved so very much by her many lifelong friends and co-workers at Professional Bank Service. Therese was an active member of several Bunco groups and treasured the friendships, laughter, and joyful social gatherings that filled her days. Later in life, nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her nine cherished grandchildren.

More than anything, Therese will be remembered by how much she loved and cared for others. She was the sweetest person and considered a "True Angel on Earth" by most who knew her. She was extremely generous, especially with her time. Always available to help watch grandchildren, spend time with friends, or take care of a family member, Therese was a light in the world who faithfully lived out God's calling through her charity towards others. She will be deeply loved, forever missed, and always remembered.

Therese was preceded in death by her father Charles Edward Plamp and her grandson Samuel.

She is survived by her mother, Ann Gettelfinger Plamp; Tom Rabatin, their children, William Robert (Tara) Rabatin and Elizabeth (Daniel) Acosta, grandchildren, Brody Tobin, Tenley, Hunter, Willow, and Summer Rabatin and four Acosta children, her brothers, Charles (Judy), Michael (Susan Graf), Patrick (Nancy), and Edward (Patty) Plamp; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, from 4–8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1920 Newburg Road, Louisville, KY 40205, on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 10 a.m., with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, 1600 Newburg Road, Louisville, KY 40205.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Therese's honor may be made to the parish of St. Agnes Catholic Church.
