Thomas Edward Barnett 78 of Liberty, TX; passed Jun. 24, 2025.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 26, 2025, at VFW Post 5621, Liberty, Texas All who knew Thomas are warmly invited to attend and share stories, memories, and moments of love in honor of his life.
Thomas was born on September 11, 1946, Thomas lived a full and meaningful life rooted in love, family, and hard work.
Thomas was preceded in death by his father, William Dell Barnett Sr., mother, I.V. Murray Barnett; brother, William Dell Barnett Jr.; sisters, Lucy Mae Cherry, Bobbie Jean Morton, and Annie Louise Barnett, Josie LaVerne Barnett; and stepsons Heath Choate and Glen Choate.
Thomas is survived by his beloved wife: Glinda Barnett; son: Jonathan Barnett (Stephanie) of League City, Texas, daughter: Robyn Weyand (Russell) of La Grange, Texas; and son: Lane Barnett (Kimberly) of El Lago, Texas; and sister: Willie Odean Lunsford and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by stepchildren: Lance Vanschuyver (Karen) of Willis, Texas, and Misty Sieger (Jamie) of Liberty, Texas. Thomas was a cherished grandfather of nine granddaughters and great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren. In addition, he leaves behind five step-grandchildren who were equally dear to him.
