Thomas Benyo Obituary

Thomas R. Benyo, 96, of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

Born on September 2, 1929 in Phoenixville, PA he was the son of the late John and Anna (Osisek) Benyo.

He was a Registered Professional Engineer and Vice President of Gannett Engineers in Camp Hill, PA. He was Manager of the Civil Section involved in Domestic Engineering Projects and International Transportation projects in South America, Central America, and Africa. He was a Civil Engineering graduate of Pennsylvania State University and a life member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Society of Highway Engineers. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He was a member of St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, Kimberton and the Slovak Club, Phoenixville, PA.

He is survived by his sister, Catherine Benyo.

Many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, John Benyo, Jr., Robert Benyo, Harry Benyo, Marian Grubb, and Virginia Cinorre.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass in St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 2340 Kimberton Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Monday, October, 20, 2025 at 12:00 noon.

Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

A visitation will take place in church on Monday from 10:45 to 11:45 am.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Dominican Friars Foundation, St. Charles Borremeo Seminary, Augustinians of Villanova, and National Shrine of Immaculate Conception.
