Thomas "Tom" J. Brenan, 68, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, at Lowell General Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Born on June 6, 1957, in Wakefield to the late Stephen and Mary (Kirwan) Brenan, Tom spent most of his life in the community he loved. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Mobilia) Brenan, and his beloved yorkie, Bella who surely greeted him with tail wags on the other side.

Tom was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and a man who wore many hats over the years - from working on cars, to construction, to snow plowing, but his "uniform" of choice was the unforgettable: a Kool-Aid Man T-shirt with a fishing vest over it, so he never ran out of pockets.

Above all, Tom loved his family. He is survived by his children, Michael Brenan of Somerville and Lyndsie Mobilia-Brenan of Woburn; and his three grandchildren, Benjamin, Henry, and Carter.

Tom will be remembered for his quick wit, big heart, and the way he made people laugh, in even the most inappropriate moments.

His Funeral Service and Interment will be held privately.

Donations in his honor can be made to a veteran charity of your choice.
